This is a brief written and video tutorial on how you can build your own Youtube video downloader in less than 2 minutes to download youtube videos in .mp4 format.
No programming / javascript knowledge is required.
This trick should work on most Internet browsers - but I recommend Mozilla Firefox -
STEP 1 - HIGHLIGHT AND COPY THE TEXT IN THE BOX BELOW
STEP 2 - CREATE A NEW BOOKMARK IN YOUR BROWSERS TOOLBAR
Right-click on the browser toolbar and select the option to create a new bookmark.
You can name the bookmark anything you like - "youtube .mp4" is the most obvious choice.
STEP 3 - PASTE THE JAVASCRIPT FROM STEP 1 IN THIS PROCESS INTO THE "LOCATION" FIELD OF THE NEW BOOKMARK
STAGE 4 - CLOSE DOWN AND RESTART YOUR BROWSER
STAGE 5 - START DOWNLOADING YOUTUBE VIDEOS
Everytime you see a youtube video that you want to download in .mp4 format simply let the video stream for a few seconds then click on the new bookmark (the bookmark will run a javascript command) and choose to save the .mp4 video file.
