DOWNLOAD MUSIC FROM YOUTUBE TUTORIAL

This written and video tutorial will explain to you 3 different ways you can download any youtube video you like and convert it to .mp3 format.

The first method requires no additional software to be installed.

The second method requires 1 freeware application to be installed.

The third method requires 2 freeware applications to be installed.

METHOD 1

This method requires no additional software to be installed

STEP 1 - SELECT THE YOUTUBE VIDEO YOU WANT TO DOWNLOAD + CONVERT

Go to wwwyoutube.com and select a video that you wish to download and convert to mp3 format.

STEP 2 - DOWNLOAD THE YOUTUBE VIDEO USING A JAVASCRIPT COMMAND

Once the video has started playing delete the information in the address bar and replace it with this text

Press ENTER and your browser should ask you if you want to download an mp4 file of the youtube video that you are watching.

Save the video to your computer.

Once you have the downloaded file stored on your computer you can then ulpoad it to any online media converting service to convert it to .mp3 format - I recommend media-convert.com

Or you could just google "online media converter" and choose one for yourself :-)

METHOD 2

This method requires that you install 1 free software application.

STEP 1 - VISIT WWW.DVDVIDEOSOFT.COM

Download and install either -

Free YouTube to MP3 Converter to download and convert youtube videos to mp3 format

or

Free Studio to install all DVDVideosoft products including Free YouTube to MP3 Converter

STEP 2 - SELECT THE VIDEO WISH TO DOWNLOAD / CONVERT

Visit youtube.com, select the video you want to download and highlight and copy the url
for example -

STEP 3 - FEED THE YOUTUBE VIDEO URL INTO DVDVIDEOSFOFT FREE YOUTUBE TO MP3 CONVERTER

Simply paste the youtube video url into DVDVideosoft Free YouTube to MP3 Converter, select the output format and folder and Free YouTube to MP3 Converter will do the rest!!!

METHOD 3

This method requires that you install 2 free software applications.

STEP 1 - INSTALL MOZILLA FIREFOX INTERNET BROWSER

If you do not already have this application installed you can download the latest version by clicking on this image -

STEP 2 - ADD DOWNLOADHELPER TO FIREFOX

Open up Firefox and in the options in the very top left corner of Firefox select

Tools > Add-ons > Get Add-ons

Then type "downloadhelper" into the search box.

Choose to install video downloadhelper then restart Firefox.

STEP 3 - DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL AOA AUDIO EXTRACTOR

Download this application from either -

AOAmedia audio extractor download page / direct download

Then install and configure it - set the output format, directory and bitrate.

STEP 4 - DOWNLOAD A YOUTUBE VIDEO USING DOWNLOADHELPER

Begin to watch a youtube video and you should see 3 animated balls on the left hand side of the address bar and an icon consisting of 3 coloured balls on the next to the title of the Youtube video you are watching.

Click on either of these icons and choose the "download" option and select the location on your computer you want the video to be downloaded to.

The videos always download faster if you click on a link that takes you away from the video you are downloading.

STEP 5 - CONVERT THE YOUTUBE .FLV FILE INTO A .MP3 FILE USING AOA AUDIO EXTRACTOR

Open up AOA Audio extractor and either drag and drop the .flv video file into the main input panel or use the browse button to locate and select the video then press the "Start" button on AOA audio extractor.
